حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ صِيَامِ عَرَفَةَ؟ قَالَ «يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي أَنْتَ فِيهَا وَالسَّنَةَ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا»

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, that he was asked about fasting on the Day of Arafah. He said: "It expiates the year you are in and the year after it."
