حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ ثنا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْأَزْدِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ
«بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَلِيًّا عَامِلًا عَلَى الْيَمَنِ فَأُتِيَ بِرِكَازٍ فَأَخَذَ مِنْهُ الْخُمُسَ وَدَفَعَ بَقِيَّتَهُ إِلَى صَاحِبِهِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَعْجَبَهُ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Ali as governor over Yemen. A rikaz (buried treasure) was brought to him, so he took the khums from it and gave the rest to its owner. That reached the Prophet ﷺ, and he was pleased with it.
