حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ

أُهْدِيَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ رِجْلُ حِمَارٍ فَقَالَ «اقْرَأْ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامَ وَقُلْ لَوْلَا أَنَّا حُرُمٌ لَمْ نَرُدَّهُ»

✧ A leg of a wild donkey was gifted to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: "Convey peace to him and say: Were we not in a state of consecration, we would not have returned it."
