حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُجَمِّعٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ

«سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ آيَةً وطَلَبْتُها فَلَمْ أَجِدْهَا حَتَّى وَجَدْتُهَا مَعَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ» {لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ} الْآيَةَ

✧ I heard a verse from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and sought it but did not find it, until I found it with a man from the Ansar: “There has certainly come to you a Messenger from among yourselves”—the verse.
