حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ الْعَلَّافُ قَالَا ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي عَنْ خَارِجَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ

«أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَتَعَلَّمَ كِتَابَ يَهُودَ» قَالَ فَكُنْتُ أَكْتُبُ لَهُ وَأَكْتُبُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَأَقْرَأُ لَهُ إِذَا كَتَبُوا

✧ "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered him to learn the script of the Jews." He said: "I would write for him, write to them, and read for him when they wrote."
