✧ The death of my father Talha, "There is disagreement about his death, it was said that he died as a martyr at sea, and it was said that he died in Medina. As for those who mentioned that he died as a martyr at sea

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَ

مَاتَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ زَيْدُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ مَاتَ ابْنَ سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً وَقَدْ قِيلَ إِنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ مَاتَ سَنَةَ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَثَلَاثِينَ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. ʿUbayd b. Ghannām And Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥaḍramī
  2. Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh b. Numayr

✧ Abu Talha Zayd b. Sahl died in the year 34, and Uthman b. Affan prayed over him. He died at the age of seventy. It has also been said that Abu Talha died in the year 32.
