حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَعُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ غَسَّانَ عَنْ ابْنِ الرَّسِيمِ

عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ هَجَرَ وَكَانَ فَقِيهًا أَنَّهُ انْطَلَقَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي وَفْدٍ بِصَدَقَةٍ فَحَمَلَهَا إِلَيْهِ فَنَهَاهُمْ عَنِ النَّبِيذِ فِي هَذِهِ الظُّرُوفِ فَرَجَعُوا إِلَى أَرْضِهِمْ وَهِي أَرْضُ تِهَامَةَ حَارَّةً فَاسْتَوْخَمُوا فَرَجَعُوا إِلَيْهِ الْعَامَ الثَّانِيَ فِي صَدَقَاتِهِمْ فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّكَ نَهَيْتَنَا عَنْ هَذِهِ الْأَوْعِيَةِ فَتَرَكْنَاهَا فَشَقَّ ذَلِكَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ «اذْهَبُوا فَاشْرَبُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ وَلَا تَشْرَبُوا مَا أُوكِيَ سِقَاؤُهُ عَلَى إِثْمٍ»

✧ From his father, who was from the people of Hajar and was a jurist, that he set out to the Messenger of God ﷺ in a delegation with some alms, and brought them to him. He forbade them from nabidh in these vessels, so they returned to their land, which is the land of Tihama, a hot land. They found it unhealthy, so they returned to him the second year with their alms. They said: O Messenger of God, you forbade us from these vessels, so we left them, and that was hard on us. He said: "Go and drink whatever you wish, but do not drink what is tied in a skin that leads to sin."
