✧ We acquired some sheep and divided them at Dhu al-Hulayfah. Then a camel from them bolted, and a man pursued it on his horse and stabbed it with a spear or struck it with a sword. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "These camels have wild streaks like the wild streaks of wild animals. So if any of them bolts, do to it like this." A man said: "We used to slaughter with flint and split sticks." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Let the blood flow with whatever you wish, as long as it is not a tooth or a nail. For the tooth is bone, and the nail is the knife of the Abyssinians."
