حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ بُكَيْرًا حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ أُسَيْدَ بْنَ رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ رَافِعًا أَتَى عَشِيرَتَهُ فَقَالَ

«نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ أَمْرٍ كَانَ بِنَا رَافِقًا وَفِي أَمْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بَرَكَةٌ وَرُشْدٌ» فَقَالُوا وَمَا ذَاكَ؟ قَالَ «الْحَقْلُ» فَقُلْتُ لِأُسَيْدٍ وَمَا الْحَقْلُ؟ قَالَ «كَرْيُ الْأَرْضِ» فَقُلْتُ وَكَيْفَ كَانُوا يُكْرُونَهَا؟ قَالَ «بِالْأَرْبِعَاءِ وَبِالشَّيْءِ مِنَ الْحَصِيدِ»

✧ “The Messenger of God ﷺ forbade a matter that was lenient for us, but in the command of the Messenger of God ﷺ there is blessing and right guidance.” They said: What is that? He said: “Ḥaql.” I said to Usayd: What is ḥaql? He said: “Leasing land.” I said: How did they lease it? He said: “For quarters and for a portion of the harvest.”
