حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٌ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنٍ قَالَا ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنِ قَيْسٍ عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ

«كُنَّا نُكْرِي الْأَرْضَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى الْمَاذِيَانَاتِ وَأَقْبَالِ الْجَدَاوِلِ فَيَهْلِكُ هَذَا وَيُسَلِّمُ هَذَا فَنَهَانَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ ذَلِكَ»

✧ "We used to lease land at the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for the mādhiyānāt and the heads of the streams, and this would perish while that would be safe. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade us from that."
