حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَدِينِيُّ فُسْتُقَةُ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ عَنِ الْوَاقِدِيِّ قَالَ
«وَفِيهَا مَاتَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ فِي أَوَّلِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ وَحَضَرَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ جِنَازَتَهُ يَعْنِي سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَسَبْعِينَ وَكَانَ لِرَافِعٍ يَوْمَ مَاتَ سِتٌّ وَثَمَانُونَ»
Translation
Chain of narrators

✧ And in it Rafi' b. Khadij died at the beginning of this year, and Ibn Umar, may Allah have mercy on him, attended his funeral, meaning the year seventy-three, and Rafi' was eighty-six on the day he died.
