حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ بْنِ رَافِعٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ أَرْبَعًا فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُصَلِّيهَا فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ «إِنَّهَا سَاعَةٌ تُفْتَحُ فِيهَا أَبْوَابُ السَّمَاءِ فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ يُرْفَعَ لِي فِيهَا عَمَلٌ صَالِحٌ»

✧ He used to pray four [rakʿahs] before Ẓuhr, and it was said to him, “What is this prayer?” He said: “I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ praying them, so I asked him and he said: ‘It is an hour in which the gates of heaven are opened, so I love that righteous deeds be raised for me during it.’”
