✧ The lineage, age, and death of Osama bin Zaid

حَدَّثَنَا مُصْعَبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ ضِمْرَى مَوْلَى أُسَامَةَ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَدِمَ مِنْ بَعْضِ الْأَرْيَافِ فَأَخَذَهُ الْوَجَعُ فَرَجَعَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «إِنِّي لَأَرْجُو أَنْ لَا يَطْلُعَ عَلَيْنَا نِقَابُهَا» يَعْنِي نِقَابَ الْمَدِينَةِ

✧ A man arrived from one of the rural areas and was afflicted with pain, so he returned. The Prophet ﷺ said: “I hope that its mountain pass will not appear to us,” meaning the mountain pass of Madinah.
