✧ “Our ḥadīth? The Messenger of God ﷺ narrated it to us in this very gathering we are in?” He said: “Yes, about Madinah. I heard him while he was claiming that a time will come upon people when conquests of the earth will be opened, and men will go out to them and attain ease, livelihood, and food. They will pass by their brothers who are pilgrims or performing ʿumrah and say: ‘What keeps you in the hardship of living and severe hunger?’ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: ‘So one goes and another stays,’ until he said it several times, ‘and Madinah is better for them. No one remains in it and patiently endures its hardship and severity until he dies except that I will be for him on the Day of Resurrection a witness or an intercessor.’”
