حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ

ثنا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَا يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أَخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ يَلْتَقِيَانِ فَيَصُدُّ هَذَا وَيَصُدُّ هَذَا وَخَيْرُهُمَا الَّذِي يَبْدَأُ بِالسَّلَامِ»

✧ Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us; and Mu'adh b. al-Muthanna narrated to us, Musaddad narrated to us; and 'Ubayd b. Ghannam narrated to us, Abu Bakr b. Abi Shaybah narrated to us; and Abu Husayn al-Qadi narrated to us, Yahya al-Himmani narrated to us; they all said: Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ata' b. Yazid, from Abu Ayyub, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "It is not lawful for a Muslim to boycott his brother for more than three days. They meet, and this one turns away and this one turns away. The better of the two is the one who initiates the greeting of peace."
