✧ The lineage, age, and death of Osama bin Zaid

حَدَّثَنَا إِدْرِيسُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَطَّارُ ثنا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ

أَنَّهُ دَفَعَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ عَشِيَّةَ عَرَفَةَ فَصَارَ إِلَى الْمَضِيقِ فَأَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ فَقَضَى حَاجَتَهُ ثُمَّ جَاءَ فَجَعَلَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَأُسَامَةُ يَصُبُّ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ «الْمُصَلَّى أَمَامَكَ»

✧ He departed with the Prophet ﷺ on the evening of 'Arafah. He went to a narrow pass, made his mount kneel, relieved himself, then came and performed ablution while Usamah poured water for him. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the prayer?' He said: 'The prayer place is ahead of you.'
