حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

لَمَّا ثَقُلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ هَبَطْتُ وَهَبَطَ النَّاسُ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ أَصْمَتَ وَهُوَ لَا يَتَكَلَّمُ فَجَعَلَ «يَرْفَعُ يَدَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ وَيَصُبُّهَا عَلَيَّ» فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ يَدْعُو لِي

✧ When the Prophet ﷺ became gravely ill, I descended and the people descended to Madinah. I entered upon him while he had become silent and was not speaking. He began raising his hand to the sky and lowering it upon me, and I knew that he was supplicating for me.
