حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمَوَيْهِ ثنا شَرِيكٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ

عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ أَعْرَابِيًّا سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ عَنِ الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ؟ فَقَالَ «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ» وَلَوِ اسْتَزَدْنَاهُ لَجَعَلَهَا خَمْسًا

✧ From Khuzaymah b. Thabit: A Bedouin asked the Prophet ﷺ about wiping over the leather socks. He said: “For the traveler three days and their nights, and for the resident a day and a night.” And if we had asked for more, he would have made it five.
