حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْمَرٍ قَالَ

سَأَلْنَا خَبَّابًا هَلْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ؟ فَقَالَ «نَعَمْ» فَقُلْنَا كَيْفَ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «بِاضْطِرَابِ لَحْيَيْهِ»

✧ We asked Khabbab: Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recite in Zuhr and 'Asr? He said: 'Yes.' We said: How did you know that? He said: 'By the movement of his beard.'
