حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ حَارِثَةَ بْنِ مُضَرِّبٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى خَبَّابِ بْنِ الْأَرَتِّ وَقَدِ اكْتَوَى سَبْعًا فَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَا يَتَمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لَتَمَنَّيْتُهُ»

Translation

Chain of narrators

  5. Ḥārithah b. Muḍarrib

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Let none of you wish for death; (if not for the prohibition,) I would have wished for it."
