حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْغُدَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ثنا أَبُو يُونُسَ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ حَاتِمُ بْنُ أَبِي صَغِيرَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
كُنَّا قُعُودًا عَلَى بَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ «أَتَسْمَعُونَ؟» قُلْنَا قَدْ سَمِعْنَا مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلَاثًا فَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ عَلَيْكُمْ أُمَرَاءُ فَلَا تُصَدِّقُوهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَا تُعِينُوهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ يَرِدُ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ»

✧ We were sitting at the door of the Prophet ﷺ when he came out to us and said, “Do you hear?” We said, “We have heard—twice or thrice.” He said, “There will be rulers over you. Do not affirm their lies and do not help them in their wrongdoing. Whoever affirms their lies and helps them in their wrongdoing will not come to me at the pool.”
