حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا ثَابِتُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جُمَيْعٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الطُّفَيْلِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ عَلَى حِرَاءٍ فَتَحَرَّكَ فَضَرَبَ بِرِجْلِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ «اسْكُنْ حِرَاءُ فَإِنَّهُ لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيٌّ أَوْ صِدِّيقٌ أَوْ شَهِيدٌ» وَهَؤُلَاءِ الْقَوْمُ مَعَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ وَعُثْمَانُ وَعَلِيٌّ وَطَلْحَةُ وَالزُّبَيْرُ وَسَعْدٌ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَأَنَا يَعْنِي نَفْسَهُ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was on Hira. It shook, so he struck it with his foot and said: “Be still, Hira, for upon you is none but a prophet, a siddiq, or a martyr.” And these people were with him: Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Talhah, al-Zubayr, Sa'd, Abd al-Rahman b. Awf, and myself—meaning himself.
