حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزِّنْبَاعِ رَوْحُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ قَالَ

تُوُفِّيَ حَكِيمُ بْنُ حِزَامٍ وَيُكْنَى أَبَا خَالِدٍ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَقَائِلٌ يَقُولُ سَنَةَ ثَمَانٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَسِنُّهُ عِشْرُونَ وَمِائَةُ سَنَةٍ عَاشَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ سِتِّينَ وَفِي الْإِسْلَامِ سِتِّينَ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Abū al-Zinbāʿ Rawḥ b. al-Faraj
  2. Yaḥyá b. Bukayr

✧ Hakim b. Hizam died, and his kunyah was Abu Khalid, in the year fifty-four, and one says in the year fifty-eight. His age was one hundred and twenty years. He lived sixty years in the Jahiliyyah and sixty in Islam.
