حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْقَرَاطِيسِيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبَّادٍ الْمَكِّيُّ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْعَطَّارُ وَمُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ حُوَيْطِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعُزَّى قَالَ

«كُنَّا جُلُوسًا بِفِنَاءِ الْكَعْبَةِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَأَتَتِ امْرَأَةٌ الْبَيْتَ تَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنْ زَوْجِهَا فَمَدَّ يَدَهُ إِلَيْهَا فَيَبِسَتْ يَدَهُ فَلَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَإِنَّهُ لَأَشَلُّ»

✧ We were sitting in the courtyard of the Ka'bah in the Jahiliyyah when a woman came to the House seeking refuge from her husband. He extended his hand toward her, and his hand became withered. I saw him in Islam, and he was indeed paralyzed.
