حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمٍ الرَّازِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الرَّازِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ حَاجِبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شُبْرُمَةَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُقَرِّبُ كَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ فَيَذْبَحُ أَحَدَهُمَا فَيَقُولُ «اللهُمَّ هَذَا عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَنْ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ» وَقَرَّبَ الْآخَرَ فَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ هَذَا عَنْ أُمَّتِي لِمَنْ شَهِدَ لَكَ بِالتَّوْحِيدِ وَشَهِدَ لِي بِالْبَلَاغِ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ would bring near two horned rams and slaughter one of them, saying, 'O Allah, this is on behalf of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.' And he brought the other near and said, 'O Allah, this is on behalf of my Ummah, for whoever bears witness to You of Your Oneness and bears witness to me of conveying the message.'
