حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنِ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ
«أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ نَمِرَةٌ فَإِذَا غُطِّيَ بِهَا رَأْسُهُ بَدَتْ رِجْلَاهُ وَإِذَا غُطِّيَتْ رِجْلَاهُ خَرَجَ رَأْسُهُ فَأَمَرَ بِهِ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَغُطِّي رَأْسُهُ وَجُعِلَ عَلَى رِجْلَيْهِ شَجَرَةٌ وَحِجَارَةٌ»

✧ Hamzah had a striped cloak. When his head was covered with it, his feet showed; and when his feet were covered, his head showed. The Prophet ﷺ ordered that his head be covered, and a tree branch and stones were placed over his feet.
