حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْمَازِنِيُّ ثنا أَرْطَأَةُ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ الْعَدَوِيُّ ثنا بِشْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْخَثْعَمِيُّ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ عَلَى مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ وَعِنْدَهُ ابْنُهُ فَقَالَ

هَلُمَّ إِلَى الْغَدَاءِ فَقُلْتُ قَدْ تَغَدَّيْتُ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ فَقَالَ لِي إِنَّهُ هِنْدِبَاءُ قُلْتُ يَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللهِ وَمَا فِي الْهِنْدِبَاءِ؟ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَا مِنْ وَرَقَةٍ مِنْ وَرَقِ الْهِنْدِبَاءِ إِلَّا وَعَلَيْهَا قَطْرَةٌ مِنْ مَاءِ الْجَنَّةِ»

✧ Come to lunch. I said: I have already had lunch, O son of the Messenger of Allah. He said to me: It is endive. I said: O son of the Messenger of Allah, what is in endive? He said: My father narrated to me from my grandfather that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is no leaf among the leaves of endive except that upon it is a drop from the water of Paradise.”
