حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ قُرَّةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ أَبَا رَجَاءٍ الْعُطَارِدِيَّ يَقُولُ لَا تَسُبُّوا عَلِيًّا وَلَا أَهْلَ هَذَا الْبَيْتِ فَإِنَّ جَارًا لَنَا مِنْ بَلْهُجَيْمِ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَرَوْا إِلَى هَذَا الْفَاسِقِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ قَتَلَهُ اللهُ فَرَمَاهُ اللهُ بِكَوْكَبَيْنِ فِي عَيْنَيْهِ فَطَمَسَ اللهُ بَصَرَهُ

✧ I heard Abu Raja al-Utaridi say: Do not revile Ali or the people of this house, for a neighbor of ours from Balhujaym said, “Do you not see this sinner al-Husayn b. Ali? May God kill him.” So God struck him with two stars in his eyes, and God obliterated his sight.
