حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا عَطِيَّةُ الْعَوْفِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ
نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ فِي بَيْتِي {إِنَّمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ لِيُذْهِبَ عَنْكُمُ الرِّجْسَ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ وَيُطَهِّرَكُمْ تَطْهِيرًا} وَهِيَ جَالِسَةٌ عَلَى الْبَابِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَلَسْتُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ؟ قَالَ «أَنْتِ إِلَى خَيْرٍ»
Translation

✧ This verse was revealed in my house: {God only desires to remove impurity from you, O People of the House, and to purify you thoroughly.} She was sitting at the door, and I said: "O Messenger of God, am I not from the People of the House?" He said: "You are towards good."
