حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو غَسَّانَ مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا كَامِلٌ أَبُو الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ الْعِشَاءَ فَكَانَ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَثَبَ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ ؓ عَلَى ظَهْرِهِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَعَ أَخَذَهُمَا بِيَدِهِ أَخْذًا رَقِيقًا حَتَّى يَضَعَهُمَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ فَإِذَا عَادَ عَادَا حَتَّى قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ وَانْصَرَفَ وَوَضَعَهُمَا عَلَى فَخِذَيْهِ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَقُلْتَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَذْهَبُ بِهِمَا؟ قَالَ «لَا» فَبَرَقَتْ بَرْقَةٌ فَقَالَ «الْحَقَا بِأُمِّكُمَا» فَلَمْ يَزَالَا فِي ضَوْئِهَا حَتَّى دَخَلَا

✧ While we were praying the night prayer with the Messenger of God ﷺ, whenever he prostrated, al-Hasan and al-Husayn ؓ would jump on his back. When he wanted to bow, he would take them by the hand gently and place them on the ground. When he returned, they returned, until he finished his prayer and turned away, placing them on his thighs. Abu Hurayrah said: I went to him and said: "O Messenger of God, shall I take them away?" He said: "No." Then a lightning flash flashed, and he said: "Go to your mother." They kept walking in its light until they entered.
