حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْخَزَرِ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْهَيْصَمِ ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَزَّةُ بِنْتُ عِيَاضِ بْنِ أَبِي قِرْصَافَةَ قَالَتْ
أَسَرَ الرُّومُ ابْنًا لِأَبِي قِرْصَافَةَ فَكَانَ أَبُو قِرْصَافَةَ إِذَا كَانَ وَقْتُ كُلِّ صَلَاةٍ صَعِدَ سُوَرَ عَسْقَلَانَ وَنَادَى يَا فُلَانُ الصَّلَاةَ فَسَمِعَهُ وَهُوَ فِي بَلَدِ الرُّومِ
Translation

✧ The Byzantines took captive a son of Abū Qirṣāfah. Whenever the time of each prayer came, Abū Qirṣāfah would climb the wall of Ascalon and call out, “O so-and-so, the prayer!” and he would hear him while he was in the land of the Byzantines.
