حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَأَبُو خَلِيفَةَ قَالَا ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ
«بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ وَالنُّصْحِ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ» فَكَانَ إِذَا اشْتَرَى شَيْئًا أَوْ بَاعَهُ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ اعْلَمْ أَنَّ مَا آخُذُ مِنْكَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا مِمَّا أَعْطَيْنَاكَ فَاخْتَرْ

✧ I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to hear and obey, and to give sincere counsel to every Muslim. When he would buy something or sell it, he would say to his companion, “Know that what I take from you is dearer to us than what we give you, so choose.”
