حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ح وثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالُوا ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ أَبِي نُخَيْلَةَ الْبَجَلِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ
جَرِيرٌ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ ابْسُطْ يَدَكَ حَتَّى أُبَايِعَكَ فَقَالَ كَيْفَ تُبَايِعُنِي؟ فَقَالَ «أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللهَ وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَتُنَاصِحَ الْمُسْلِمَ وَتُفَارِقَ الْمُشْرِكَ»

✧ Jarir said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was taking the people's pledge of allegiance, so I said, "O Messenger of God, stretch out your hand so I may pledge allegiance to you." He said, "How will you pledge allegiance to me?" He said, "I pledge allegiance to you on the basis that you worship God, establish prayer, give zakah, give sincere counsel to the Muslim, and separate from the polytheist."
