Disbelief of the Misguided Jahmiyyah about the Beatific Vision

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ
قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ اشْتَرِطْ عَلَيَّ فَأَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِالشَّرْطِ مِنِّي قَالَ «أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى أَنْ تَعْبُدَ اللهَ لَا تُشْرِكَ بِهِ شَيْئًا وَتُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةَ وَتُؤْتِيَ الزَّكَاةَ وَتَنْصَحَ الْمُسْلِمَ وَتُفَارِقَ الْمُشْرِكَ»

✧ I said, “O Messenger of Allah, stipulate for me, for you know the conditions better than I.” He said, “I pledge allegiance to you on the condition that you worship Allah without associating anything with Him, establish prayer, give zakah, give sincere counsel to the Muslim, and separate from the polytheist.”
