حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّلَّالُ الْكُوفِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ
بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ جَيْشًا إِلَى خَثْعَمٍ فَلَمَّا غَشِيَتْهُمُ الْخَيْلُ اعْتَصَمُوا بِالصَّلَاةِ فَقُتِلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهُمْ فَجَعَلَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نِصْفَ الْعَقْلِ بِصَلَاتِهِمْ وَقَالَ «إِنِّي بَرِيءٌ مِنْ كُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ مَعَ مُشْرِكٍ»

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ dispatched an army to Khathʿam. When the cavalry surrounded them, they sought protection through prayer, and a man among them was killed. The Messenger of God ﷺ set half of the blood money for them because of their prayer, and he said, “I am free from every Muslim who lives with a polytheist.”
