قَالَ الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَنَدِيُّ ثنا أَبُو حُمَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ثنا أَبُو قُرَّةَ قَالَ ذَكَرَ زَمْعَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ يَعْقُوبَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

عَنْ أُمِّ قَيْسٍ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ وَكَانَتْ مِنَ الْمُهَاجِرَاتِ الْأُوَلِ اللَّاتِي بَايَعْنَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَهِيَ أُخْتُ عُكَّاشَةَ بِنْتِ مِحْصَنٍ أَنَّهَا «أَتَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بِابْنٍ لَهَا لَمْ يَبْلُغْ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ الطَّعَامَ فَبَالَ فِي حِجْرِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَدَعَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ بِمَاءٍ فَنَضَحَهُ عَلَى بَوْلِهِ وَلَمْ يَغْسِلْهُ»

✧ From Umm Qays bt. Mihsan—and she was among the first of the emigrant women who pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she was the sister of 'Ukkashah bt. Mihsan—that she brought a son of hers who had not reached the age of eating food to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he urinated in the lap of the Prophet ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ called for water and sprinkled it over the urine, and did not wash it.
