حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَوْسٍ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي مُوسَى وَهُوَ تَقِيَّةٌ فَذَهَبَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ لَتَبْكِي أَوْ تَهُمُّ بِهِ فَقَالَ لَهَا أَبُو مُوسَى أَمَا سَمِعْتِ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ؟ قَالَتْ بَلَى فَسَكَتَتْ فَلَمَّا مَاتَ أَبُو مُوسَى قَالَ يَزِيدُ لَقِيتُ امْرَأَتَهُ فَقُلْتُ لَهَا قَوْلَ أَبِي مُوسَى أَمَا سَمِعْتِ مَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ثُمَّ سَكَتَتْ قَالَتْ نَعَمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ حَلَقَ أَوْ سَلَقَ أَوْ خَرَقَ»

✧ I entered upon Abu Musa while he was in his final illness. His wife was about to weep or intended to, so Abu Musa said to her, “Have you not heard what the Messenger of God ﷺ said?” She said, “Yes,” and fell silent. When Abu Musa died, Yazid said: I met his wife and said to her, “Abu Musa’s saying: ‘Have you not heard what the Messenger of God ﷺ said,’ then you fell silent.” She said, “Yes, the Messenger of God ﷺ said: ‘He is not one of us who shaves, wails, or tears.’”
