حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ الْحُصَيْنِ قَالَتْ

أَنَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَخْطُبُ بِمِنًى قَدِ الْتَحَفَ بِثَوْبِهِ وَإِنَّ عَضَلَةَ عَضُدِهِ تَرْتَجُّ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوا اللهَ وَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا وَإِنْ أُمِّرَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَبْدٌ حَبَشِيٌّ مُجَدَّعٌ فَاسْمَعُوا وَأَطِيعُوا مَا أَقَامَ فِيكُمْ كِتَابَ اللهِ تَعَالَى»

✧ I saw the Messenger of God ﷺ delivering a sermon at Mina, wrapped in his garment, and the muscle of his upper arm was trembling as he said, "O people, fear God, and listen and obey, even if a mutilated Abyssinian slave is placed in authority over you. Listen and obey as long as he upholds the Book of God, Exalted is He, among you."
