✧ The news of Umm Sulaim's ᴿᴬ reaction when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited and prayed in her house.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ ثنا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْبُرْجُمِيُّ ثنا أَبُو ظِلَالٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أُمِّهِ قَالَتْ

كَانَتْ لِي شَاةٌ فَجَمَعْتُ مِنْ سَمْنِهَا عُكَّةً فَبُعِثَ بِهَا مَعَ زَيْنَبَ فَقُلْتُ يَا زَيْنَبُ أَبْلِغِي هَذِهِ الْعُكَّةَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتَدِمُ بِهَا قَالَ فَجَاءَتْ زَيْنَبُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا سَمْنٌ بَعَثَتْهُ إِلَيْكَ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ فَقَالَ أَفْرِغُوا لَهَا عُكَّتَهَا فَفُرِّغَتِ الْعُكَّةُ وَدُفِعَتْ إِلَيْهَا فَجَاءَتْ وَأُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ لَيْسَتْ فِي الْبَيْتِ فَعَلِّقْتُ الْعُكَّةَ عَلَى وَتَدٍ فَجَاءَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ فَرَأَتِ الْعُكَّةَ مُمْتَلِئَةً تَقْطُرُ سَمْنًا فَقَالَتْ يَا زَيْنَبُ أَلَيْسَ أَمَرْتُكِ أَنْ تَبْلُغِي هَذِهِ الْعُكَّةَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتَدِمُ بِهَا؟ قَالَتْ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ فَإِنْ لَمْ تُصَدِّقِينِي فَتَعَالَيْ مَعِي إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَذَهَبَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَزَيْنَبُ مَعَهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي بَعَثْتُ إِلَيْكَ مَعَهَا بِعُكَّةٍ فِيهَا سَمْنٌ فَقَالَ «قَدْ جَاءَتْ بِهَا» فَقُلْتُ وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْهُدَى وَدِينِ الْحَقِّ إِنَّهَا مُمْتَلِئَةٌ سَمْنًا تَقْطُرُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَتَعْجَبِينَ يَا أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ أَنَّ اللهَ أَطْعَمَكِ»

✧ I had a sheep, so I collected its ghee into a small skin container and sent it with Zaynab. I said, "O Zaynab, convey this container of ghee to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so he may use it as a condiment." Zaynab came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of Allah, this is ghee that Umm Sulaym has sent to you." He said, "Empty her container for her." So the container was emptied and returned to her. She came back while Umm Sulaym was not in the house, and I hung the container on a peg. Then Umm Sulaym came and saw the container full, dripping with ghee. She said, "O Zaynab, did I not order you to convey this container to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ so he may use it as a condiment?" She said, "I did. If you do not believe me, come with me to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." So Umm Sulaym and Zaynab went with her to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and she said, "I sent you with her a container of ghee." He said, "She brought it." I said, "By the One Who sent you with guidance and the religion of truth, it is full of ghee, dripping with it." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Are you amazed, O Umm Sulaym, that Allah has fed you?"
