al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 21784

✧ The mother of Ayymanah, the mother of Usamah b. Zaid, was originally the slave of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . She was given to Khadijah's sister and then she was married to Zaid b. Harithah. Her name is also said to be Barakah.

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ مِقْلَاصٍ ثنا أَبِي ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَخْبَرَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ سَوَادَةَ عَنْ حِفْشِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أُمِّ أَيْمَنَ

أَنَّهَا غَرْبَلَتْ دَقِيقًا فَصَنَعَتْهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ رَغِيفًا فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا؟ فَقَالَتْ طَعَامٌ نَصْنَعُهُ هَهُنَا فَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ أَصْنَعَ لَكَ مِنْهُ رَغِيفًا فَقَالَ «رُدِّيهِ فِيهِ ثُمَّ اعْجِنِيهِ»

✧ She sifted flour and made it into a loaf for the Prophet ﷺ. He said, "What is this?" She said, "Food that we make here, and I wanted to make a loaf of it for you." He said, "Return it to it, then knead it."
