حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ ثنا عَمِّي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ

عَنْ أُمِّ كُلْثُومٍ بِنْتِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَةَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَكَانَتْ صَلَّتِ الْقِبْلَتَيْنِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «لَيْسَ بِالْكَاذِبِ مَنْ أَصْلَحَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ فَقَالَ خَيْرًا أَوْ نَمَى خَيْرًا»

✧ From Umm Kulthum bt. ʿUqba b. Abī Muʿayṭ, and she was the wife of ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAwf, and she had prayed in the direction of both qiblas with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “He is not a liar who makes peace between people and says good or conveys good.”
