حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَتْ

أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَنْ نُخْرِجَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ الْعَوَاتِقَ وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ وَالْحُيَّضَ فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا لَيْسَ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ؟ قَالَ «تُلْبِسُهَا أُخْتُهَا جِلْبَابَهَا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded us to bring out on the day of Fiṭr the young unmarried women, the secluded virgins, and the menstruating women. As for the menstruating women, they keep away from the prayer but witness the good and the supplication of the Muslims. Then a woman said, “O Messenger of Allah, what if one of us does not have a jilbāb?” He said, “Let her sister clothe her with her jilbāb.”
