حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ لَيْلَى مَوْلَاةٍ لَهُمْ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عُمَارَةَ بِنْتِ كَعْبٍ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا فَدَعَتْ لَهُ بِطَعَامٍ فَدَعَاهَا تَأْكُلُ مَعَهُ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي صَائِمَةٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ «الصَّائِمَ إِذَا أَكَلَ فِي بَيْتِهِ دَعَتْ لَهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ حَتَّى يَقْضُوا أَكْلَهُمْ وَيَفْرَغُوا»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her, and she called for food for him. He invited her to eat with him, and she said, “I am fasting.” He said, “When a fasting person eats in their house, the angels invoke blessings for them until they finish their eating and complete it.”
