✧ What b. Abbas narrated from Umm Hani

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عِيَاضُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَنَّهَا أَجَارَتْ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ «قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ وَأَمَّنَّا مَنْ أَمَّنْتِ»

✧ Umm Hani' bt. Abi Talib narrated to me that she granted protection to a man from the polytheists on the day of the conquest. She came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him, and he said, “We grant protection to the one you have protected, and we give safety to the one you have given safety.”
