al-Mu'jam al-Kabir (al-Tabarani) 21355

✧ Fatimah daughter of Hamza son of Abd al-Muttalib is nicknamed Umm al-Fadl, and it is also said that her name is Ummamah, and it is also said to be Umarah.

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي حُبَيْشٍ كَانَتْ تُسْتَحَاضُ فَسَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ وَلَيْسَ بِالْحَيْضَةِ فَإِذَا أَقْبَلَتِ الْحَيْضَةُ فَاتْرُكِي الصَّلَاةَ وَإِذَا أَدْبَرَتْ فَاغْتَسِلِي وَصَلِّي»

✧ Fatimah bt. Abi Hubaysh used to have prolonged vaginal bleeding, so she asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, “It is only a vein, not menstruation. When menstruation begins, leave the prayer, and when it ends, perform ghusl and pray.”
