✧ al-Samma'u, the Sister of Busr al-Maziniyah

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ ثنا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنْ صُمَيْتَةَ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَلْيَمُتْ فَمَنْ مَاتَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ كُنْتُ لَهُ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا» هَكَذَا رَوَاهُ صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ وَخُولِفَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Whoever is able to die in Madinah, let him die there, for whoever dies in Madinah, I will be a witness or an intercessor for him." This is how Salih b. Abi al-Akhdar narrated it, and he was contradicted in its chain of transmission.
