حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الرَّقِّيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتَ شَيْبَةَ امْرَأَةً كَبِيرَةً فَقُلْتُ لَهَا أَتَزَوَّجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ؟ قَالَتْ «لَا وَلَقَدْ تَزَوَّجَهَا وَهُمَا حَلَالَانِ»

✧ I came to Safiyyah bint Shaybah, an elderly woman, and said to her, "Did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ marry while he was in ihram?" She said, "No, and he married her while they were both out of ihram."
