✧ Salmā bt. Qays, Um al-Mundhir al-Ansāriyyah: One of the Aunts of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الرَّافِعِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الرَّافِعِيُّ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ سَلْمَى

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ إِنِّي لَمَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِالْأَسْوَاقِ فَقَالَ «لَيَطْلُعَنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ» إِذْ سَمِعْتُ الْخَشْفَةَ فَإِذَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ

✧ She said: I was with the Prophet ﷺ in the markets when he said, “A man from the people of Paradise will appear to you.” Then I heard a rustling sound, and it was ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib ؓ.
