✧ Zainab bt. Abi Salamah b. AbdeI-Asad al-Makhzumiyyah "and she was the foster sister of the Messenger of Allah"ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْمُصْطَلِقِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ زَيْنَبَ امْرَأَةِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَتْ

خَرَجَ بِلَالٌ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ سَلْ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَيُجْزِئُ عَنَّا مِنَ النَّفَقَةِ النَّفَقَةُ عَلَى أَزْوَاجِنَا وَمَا حَوَتْ حُجُورُنَا فَدَخَلَ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَجْرَانِ أَجْرُ الصَّدَقَةِ وَأَجْرُ الْقَرَابَةِ»

✧ Bilal came out, and we said to him: Ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: Would it suffice for us, of spending, to spend on our husbands and those our laps have sheltered? He entered and asked him, and the Prophet ﷺ said: “Two rewards: the reward of charity and the reward of kinship.”
