حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّمَّارُ ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ وَمُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْهَرَوِيُّ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ النَّوْفَلِيُّ الْمَدِينِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو مُصْعَبٍ قَالُوا ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي أَخْبَرَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جَدَّتِهِ رُمَيْثَةُ قَالَتْ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَلَوْ أَشَاءُ أَنْ أُقَبِّلَ الْخَاتَمِ الَّذِي بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ مِنْ قُرْبِي مِنْهُ لَقَبَّلْتُ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ «لِسَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ يَوْمَ مَاتَ اهْتَزَّ لَهُ عَرْشُ الرَّحْمَنِ»

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — and if I had wished, because of my closeness to him, I could have kissed the seal between his shoulders — saying about Sa‘d b. Mu‘adh on the day he died: “The Throne of the Most Merciful shook for him.”
